What is an ATS and why does it reject CVs?
An ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is software recruiters use to filter CVs before they reach a human. It scans for keywords, file formats and document structure. CVs with graphics, multi-column layouts, uncommon fonts or missing keywords from the job posting are automatically rejected - even if the candidate is highly qualified. An estimated 70-90% of CVs never reach a recruiter.
How does ATS Buster work?
You upload your CV (PDF), paste a job posting link or text, and our AI (Google Gemini) analyzes the employer's requirements and rewrites your CV to match - adding missing keywords, adjusting experience descriptions and reformatting into an ATS-friendly structure. The whole process takes about 60 seconds. You get a ready-to-send PDF tailored to that specific role.
Won't the AI invent experience I don't have?
No. Our AI is instructed to work only with information from your original CV. It rephrases existing experience to match the job posting's terminology (e.g., "Building web apps in React" might become "Frontend development in React.js" if the offer uses that wording). The AI does not add fake companies, technologies or certificates. Always review the generated CV before sending.
Will my CV pass the ATS systems used by recruiters?
Yes. Our generated PDFs use a single-column layout, standard fonts (Inter, Helvetica) and a clean semantic structure - exactly what ATS systems like SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Lever, Greenhouse, and major Polish platforms (eRecruiter, JobOffer.io) can parse correctly. We test our templates against the most popular ATS systems on the market.
Is my personal data safe?
Yes. We're fully GDPR-compliant. Your CV data is kept in an encrypted database in the EU region. On free accounts files are auto-deleted after 1 hour, on PRO accounts after 30 days. You can delete your account and all related data with one click at any time (GDPR Article 17). We never sell your data and we don't train AI models on it.
How much does ATS Buster cost?
A free account gets 3 credits to start. The PRO plan gives 100 credits per day, PRO+ gives 200 credits per day. Generating a CV tailored to a job offer costs 2 credits, a cover letter costs 1 credit. Current plan prices are listed on the pricing page.
What format will I get my CV in?
You get a PDF file - the format best supported by ATS systems and preferred by 95% of recruiters. PDF preserves the document's look on any device while remaining text-readable for ATS parsers (we never generate image-based PDFs). You can choose from several visual templates - all are ATS-optimized.
Can I edit the generated CV?
Yes. After we extract data from your CV you can edit every field - contact info, experience, skills, project descriptions, languages. AI delivers the first draft, you keep full control of the final output. It's your CV - you decide what reaches the recruiter.
Which job sites can I import postings from?
We support the major Polish job boards (pracuj.pl, theprotocol.it, justjoin.it, nofluffjobs.com) plus most international ones. Just paste the URL - we'll fetch the posting automatically. If a site blocks bots (LinkedIn) or isn't supported, you can always copy-paste the posting text manually.
Can I prepare a CV in English?
Yes. ATS Buster automatically detects the job posting's language and adapts the final CV language. You can have a Polish CV and paste English postings - you'll get an English version of the CV. We support multiple bilingual templates. One plan = both languages, no extra fees.
How long does the whole process take?
On average around 60 seconds from upload to the finished PDF. CV extraction takes ~10-15 seconds, job offer analysis ~5-10 seconds, CV transformation ~20-30 seconds, PDF generation ~5 seconds. By comparison, manually tailoring a CV for one specific posting takes experienced job seekers 1-2 hours.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. Under Polish consumer law you have 14 days to withdraw from the contract. If you haven't used your subscription or the service didn't meet your expectations, write to atsbusteradmin@gmail.com - we'll refund within 14 working days. Full details in our refund policy.
