eRecruiter: how this hiring system reads your CV and filters candidates
One of the most widely used hiring systems among employers in Poland
eRecruiter is software that collects and organises job applications for recruiters — a large share of mid-size and large employers in Poland use it. If you apply through an employer's form or a Polish job board, there is a good chance your CV is read by this system first, and by a human second.
Where eRecruiter gets your CV from
Most applications reach eRecruiter through forms: the “Apply” button on a job board or the careers form on a company website. You attach your CV file, and the system stores both the form answers and the full text of the document. The recruiter sees a candidate list, a CV preview, and whatever the system managed to extract from your file.
The key mechanism is the candidate-database search. With hundreds of applications per opening, recruiters do not read them all — they type phrases from the requirements (“SQL”, “driving licence”, “customer service”) and work off the results. A CV that lacks those words, or hides them inside graphics, simply does not exist in that search.
Where most CVs fail in eRecruiter
The first trap: a CV saved as an image. If your PDF came from a scan or a design tool that flattens text into a picture, the system has nothing to search. Quick test: open your PDF and try to select the text with your mouse. Can't? To the search engine, that CV is empty.
The second trap: not using the language of the job ad. eRecruiter does not guess synonyms — if the ad says “invoicing” and your CV only says “issuing sales documents”, you may never surface. The third: sloppily filled form fields. Recruiters also filter by fields (city, availability, consents), so empty or wrong fields can cut you before anyone opens the attachment.
Checklist: a resume ready for eRecruiter
A PDF with selectable text
Export your CV from a text editor to PDF. Never a scan, never a flattened graphic design.
One column, standard headings
“Work experience”, “Education”, “Skills” — plain headings and a top-to-bottom layout parse best.
Keywords taken from the ad
Mirror the skill and tool names exactly as the ad phrases them — inside natural sentences, not as keyword stuffing.
Fill the form fields as carefully as the CV
Filters run on fields. Skipping an “optional” field can mean skipping the very filter the recruiter narrows the list with.
A current data-processing consent
In Poland a missing recruitment consent clause can formally block your application from being processed — check what the form requires.
One CV = one job offer
A generic CV rarely contains the words of a specific ad. Tailoring the content to the offer is the single biggest lever.

Frequently asked questions about eRecruiter
Does eRecruiter automatically reject CVs?
No — a recruiter always makes the decision. In practice, though, a CV that never surfaces in search and filters (missing keywords, unreadable file) is never seen by a human. The outcome is the same as a rejection.
I applied through a Polish job board — does my CV land in eRecruiter?
Very often, yes. Many companies connect job boards directly to their hiring system, so an application from a board lands in the same database as applications from the careers page.
Does a photo on the CV confuse eRecruiter?
The photo itself is not the problem — templates are, when the photo, icons and skill bars break up the text structure. The system reads text; anything that is a graphic is invisible to it.
How do I check whether my CV is readable for eRecruiter?
Upload your CV to the free ATS Buster scanner — you will see what a hiring robot extracts from your document and what is missing against a specific job ad. Free account, 3 free credits, no card required.
